Mold remediation is a process that requires specialized workers and equipment. At Scottsdale 24 Hour Flood Rescue, we can fulfil both those requirements. Mold is one of the worst contaminants known to us – silently growing in the shadows until it reaches proportions that influence the whole structure of your property. Mold grows in humid and damp places and on almost any surface, from wallpapers and drywalls to floor tiles and carpets.
It is very dangerous to leave mold untreated. It can grow incredibly fast and besides looking ugly and endangering the structure of your house, it can be very bad for your health. Allergic reactions, asthma attacks, and sinus infections are just some of many health problems that are linked to exposure to mold. If you spot any mold forming in your property, contact us immediately and we will dispatch one of our teams to start the process of remediation before the mold does any long-term damage.
The process of remediation usually consists of four phases: sealing the mold, humidity control, mold removal and final clean-up. With the proper equipment and the right people for the job, your mold problem will be gone sooner than you thought possible. We will not only remove your current mold, we will also prevent any new mold from spawning .
Sealing the mold
The process of mold remediation starts by containing the mold in the affected area so it doesn’t spread into any other rooms. We will seal every opening, including vents, doors, and windows. Next, we create negative air pressure so no other cross-contamination happens. If any of your furniture or belongings are affected beyond repair, we can properly remove and dispose of them in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Once everything is sealed we proceed with killing the mold – and the best way to do that is to remove the conditions that helped it grow. That means our technicians will use specialized tools and machines to reduce humidity in the affected area. Once we remove all the moisture from the contaminated area, the mold will start to die off.
Once the contamination is lifted, our technicians use specialized vacuums to vacuum all surfaces. These vacuums have specialized filters which are capable of removing even tiny particles left in the air. Immediately after vacuuming, we will wash every surface with appropriate chemicals to ensure no mold has survived.
All that is left to do is to remove the negative air pressure and return all your belongings to their previous positions. We will, of course, handle all this. We are highly experienced in this sort of work and if you entrust us with your mold removal job, we will do our best to finish the job as fast as we can without compromising the quality.
